Field Estimator-Inspector for Property Management & Insurance Claims.
Seeking an experienced reconstruction inspector/estimator for inside repairs and some exterior repairs to support restoration needed in condominium buildings and townhome communities for homeowner associations and property managers.
The position would require knowledge of interior reconstruction after water damage had occurred such as insulation, drywall, trim work, carpentry, kitchen cabinets, painting and flooring. Exterior estimating would include siding, gutters and roofing and be able to meet subcontractors to obtain their quote to then use for creating an estimate or proposal.
The inspector estimator would be responsible for scheduling the appointment with the residents to document the damage, take quality photos of the rooms and all affected areas. Measure the rooms and affected areas and sketch the layout of the rooms with accurate measurements.
The candidate must have background knowledge of estimating using Xactimate software and be able to create proposals using Microsoft word in some cases. Some estimates will be presented to insurance adjusters if a claim was filed so accuracy is very important.
The ideal candidate would also be confident in their role, personable and have good sales skills. The inspector/estimator would be required to create each estimate and have it ready for review by the department manager and upload it into our workflow tracking software. The estimator would also work closely with others on the team and in the department and communicate daily to ensure we deliver the estimates to the client on the expected deadline.
Valid MD Driver’s license would be required along with dependable transportation to get back and forth to the appointments in the field.
Vehicle allowance and fuel costs will be provided by the company.
